I worked as a teacher for one month in a teaching project by Delhi government and British council. I taught spoken English to 11th graders. It was very challenging, yet worth it. It included a lot of hard work as the students found it difficult to even initiate a basic conversation in English. But, when you relate with them on a mental level, it becomes much easier to connect and make them learn. When students remain motivated, they learn quickly and teaching then becomes, not a task, but an activity where students and the teacher, both remain involved on an enhanced learning platform.
