You should starts preparing for GATE exam from summer vacation after 6th semester. First you go through the syllabus of GATE of respective discipline. Then clear your concepts of syllabus. You should starts preparing for GATE exam from summer vacation after 6th semester. First you go through the syllabus of GATE of respective discipline. Then clear your concepts of syllabus. If you any difficulty. You may also take coaching from any Gate institute / faculty. Most important thing you have to practice the numerical questions including last 10 years papers. Before 3-4 month of Exam, you should also take part in GATE test series being organised by several coaching institute. This will help you to build the confidence. Best of Luck.
