Your plan for joining lecturership is really nice but you can get a break in college only after clearing NET exam which is eligibility criteria for applying the post you are looking for. NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by cbse twice a year : June and December.

How many teachers here employ caning as a punishment method? I have read both pros and cons. What's your take? Is it needed at times or completely unnecessary?

Hi nithin. Caning according to me absolutely unnecessary and inhuman. It's completely against the way upbringing of a child is required ideally. It not only develops the feeling of worthlessness in the child but hampers his self confidence.the worst impact is it makes the child aggressive in long run... ...more

It not only develops the feeling of worthlessness in the child but hampers his self confidence.the worst impact is it makes the child aggressive in long run and teaches him that hitting is justified in the event of anger and is the right way to vent out anger and frustration. Sometimes caning may also hurt a child physically. It should be strictly prohibited and avoided if we want to make our children sensitive and develop positive attitude in them. Those who think caning is ok I suggest the books like happiest toddler on the block of Dr. Harvey karp,. What to expect series of parenting book.

Pls work on your concepts even if you have to refer junior classes books. Practice a lot and clear the doubts conceptually. Don't try to cram the solution of a specific problem. Practice ND concept building is the key to score good in maths
