When to use transient variables?

transient keyword suggests that the object should not be serialized, nor persisted. You can use it if you don't want to serialize heavy objects (such as Wrappers).

How to refresh knowledge of .Net,SOL.. I have done GNIIT course from NIIT in MIS track. There I have learnt .Net Crystal Reports,SQL. Now I am not using .Net Crystal Reports and SQL in my current profile of my JOB. Because of some reason I am working in operations and not in IT. I again want to move back to IT. So I want to develop those skills which I have learnt it earlier. Compare to earlier now the versions are changed... I need an advise from Teachers & Trainers.

Refer MS online guides for the latest version, basics are same for all version only the level is advanced as compared to the old version and some of the functionality were changed.
