Whenever you want him to study, start it with some exciting activities like colouring, make some fake notes and play shopkeeper and customer and when he shows interest then tell him that finish your work and again we will play it. In the excitement of playing, he starts doing work. Moreover, it would help if you had patience. Don't pressurize the kid; otherwise, he will begin to hate the learning process.
Best of luck, and do tell me what's the result.
