I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Institute of Computational Molecular Science (Prof. Michael L. Klein), Temple University Philadelphia US for past 2.7 years, and Theoretical Sciences Unit (Prof. Umesh V. Waghmare in collaboration with Prof. C.N.R. Rao), JNCASR Bangalore for 6 months. I did my PhD at Physics department, IIT Bombay (Prof. Alok Shukla). My research interests include computational material science (electro and photo catalysis for hydrogen gas production) and designing of layered materials for energy and optoelectronics applications (pressure sensors, photoactuators, thermoelectrics, organic solar cells and photovoltaics). The materials include graphene related nanostructures (borocarbonitrides, BN, graphene, MoS2, pentacene and higher acenes, graphene trigonal nanodisks, fullerene based charge transfer complexes and their hybrids etc.) I am interested in teaching students in the field of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
