IdentityI have had the pleasure of teaching IBDP Psychology for three years, during which time my students have consistently performed well. Several of my students have achieved top scores of 7 in their Internal Assessments for two consecutive years. Additionally, those I have supervised in their Extended Essays have earned A grades, reflecting their hard work and dedication.
My experience as a psychotherapist for over four years enhances my teaching practice, allowing me to understand and address the individual needs of each student. I firmly believe that all students have amazing potential, and I strive to create a learning environment where each student
can thrive. By using differentiation and inclusion as the foundation of my teaching, I tailor my lessons to meet the diverse learning styles and capabilities of my students.
I employ a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate my students. My approach includes hands-on activities, metaphors, real-life case examples, flashcards, presentations, and worksheets. These strategies help make learning interactive and relevant, ensuring that each student can connect with the material in a meaningful way. By incorporating these diverse techniques, I aim to make lessons accessible and stimulating for all students.
In addition to teaching psychology, I have experience supervising students in Theory of
Knowledge (TOK) exhibitions and essays. I emphasize the connections between TOK and psychology, helping students to develop a deeper understanding of both subjects. This interdisciplinary approach encourages critical thinking and broadens students' perspectives. As an educator and psychotherapist, my goal is to inspire and support students in their academic and personal growth. By combining high academic standards with a compassionate and individualized approach, I aim to help each student reach the next level of achievement according to their unique capabilities.
