I am a lawyer by profession and a Ph.D reserach scholar by hobby and virtue. One should know all the elements of the periodic table till the end of it as it contains different group elements classified in the forms of different blocks like S,D,P,F which have their own characteristics and importance and the table is arranged in such a way that all the elements display certain... ...more

One should know all the elements of the periodic table till the end of it as it contains different group elements classified in the forms of different blocks like S,D,P,F which have their own characteristics and importance and the table is arranged in such a way that all the elements display certain characteristics when we go from top to bottom or from left to right either in the group or the column.

So,the whole table is indispensable as it is a schema based arrangement done for a specific purpose.

Besides,a table is a table only when you know it all rather than being choosy or selective.There is no preferential reason as to why one should not know the whole table or know a select part of it.
