With my extensive experience as a Head of CS/Senior CS Teacher in International Schools across different countries, I am confident that I can bring value to your team through my teaching skills and expertise.
At present, I'm working with Ecole Globale Int'l Girls School India teaching A and AS IT and Computer Science.
I have worked with Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in Kazakhstan, where I have been co-instructing with local educators to prepare learners for Cambridge A and AS level Computing assessments. As a subject matter expert, my responsibilities extend beyond teaching, including coaching local educators, developing lesson plans, designing mock test question papers in accordance with Cambridge standards, scrutinizing summative exam test papers, and delivering formal English lessons to local educators. Although collaborating with international colleagues presents some challenges, I have found it extremely interesting and rewarding to learn about a new culture and environment.
In my previous role as Head of ICT at Al Khor International School in Qatar from 2011 to 2017, I led the introduction of significant changes in the ICT curriculum and implemented a range of extended activities to enrich the learning experience. My efforts were recognized with an "Outstanding" Ofsted remark. I also prepared students for the National Robotic Olympiad using EV3, and we achieved 7th position at the national level. Additionally, I introduced Alice 3D programming in association with Carnegie Mellon University, Doha, Qatar at Grade IX and X level, and we won the 2016 and 2017 Alice school competitions. I have managed ICT resources effectively and provided staff development training on Frog VLE, SIMS, and Smart Board, among other online IT resources. I have also led a number of real-life projects using Python and Java and have experience with lesson observation based on Ofsted performance management, subject reviews, and subject improvement plans.
Furthermore, I was a member of the CIS accreditation group for the ICT vertical and horizontal committee and the QNSA accreditation group.
I possess excellent middle-level leadership skills, outstanding communication skills, and a team player who always tries to meet expectations
Additionally, I have good post-16 pastoral care experience and exceptional IT infrastructure management skills.
