Ankita Singh

I’m reaching out to introduce myself and express my interest in teaching at a school situated at Dehradun and is affiliated from CBSE Board, New Delhi.

As a secondary school English teacher for more than six years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping students of all levels master the language skills and concepts they need to prepare them for life beyond high school, and I’d love to continue that path.

In my current position, I teach English language, literature, writing, and reading comprehension to students in grades 9th and 10th. Over my six years of teaching, I’ve managed to successfully increase my student’s reading and writing comprehension test scores every year for the last six years.

I received my elementary education B. ED from UGC recognized University in 2014, where I learnt courses focused on social and emotional learning, technology and diversity inclusion in classroom. Later, I studied MA (Economics) from recognized State University in 2016.

In my pursuit of lifelong learning, I’ve made it a point to stay up to date on the most current teaching methods, including Cooperative Learning and Flipped Classroom & on the latest educational software, such as SMART board, Zoom and Google Classroom. Also, the teaching experience has taught me to manage larger class sizes, work with kids of various levels and backgrounds and use technology to encourage learning and retention.

My key skills are having a good interaction with my students and making them feel comfortable so that they can come up with their problems without hesitation. I focus more on understanding the context by the students rather than just mugging it up. Like mathematics required fortnight practice same way English too and I follow up the same by providing worksheets on regular basis.

I’ve always felt driven to be a school educator, the joy I feel from facilitating the growth and development of the students at my school only reaffirms my passion.

As a school educator I’ll continue to hone my teaching skills as I work in the classroom, I believe that my enthusiasm, positive attitude, and hands-on experience working with the students at my present school will make me an excellent tutor.

As a tutor am interested in teaching my primary concern subject i.e. English along with all other compulsory subjects of the curriculum from classes 3rd to 10th.
I look forward to help shape young minds and make a difference in the lives of the kids in my own community.
