Returned to India in 2015; Started my own MSME Manufacturing Unit in 2016 - a CNC machine shop; Supplied export quality specialty valves & valve spares to the Oil & gas, Marine, Food Processing sectors. Grew the business from Rs.25 Lakh revenue to Rs.1.5Cr revenue in 6 years (survived the pandemic, without infusing personal funds into company) & exited the business for a good profit through a 'slump-sale' deal in December 2023
Now a full-time investor & Trader. I manage my funds through Sentinel Venture Capital [GSTIN: 33BYHPS6115E1ZJ], which is a registered company, as F&O trading in India is categorized as 'Business Income'.
I strictly handle ONLY my own funds, I do NOT handle other people's money/give stock tips/advisory services/promises of assured returns etc. neither do I intend to. Therefore, I am NOT SEBI registered.
SEBI's report shows that 93% of traders lose money in the derivatives market. I am one of the 7% that has made money through f & o trading consistently for 3 years (out of 4 years total) with the p & l statements to back up my claim. Yes, it took me the first year of trials & errors, more than a few panful losses and A LOT of reading to understand how leveraged financial instruments work, how to manage my risk by staying prepared for 'worst-case-scenarios' and how to handle two of one's most basest instincts - fear & greed.
Surviving in the capital markets is not easy, its a place which rewards you for sensible risk taking, but brutally punishes recklessness.
