No,you don't need to memorize the complete periodic table.Instead you try to gain the knowledge about variation in periodic properties down the group and across the period, important physical and chemical properties of s, p, d and f block elements, their applications, details of their four quantum nos. , nodes, nodal planes, zeeman effect, stark effect, possibility of stability in terms of quantam nos. ,causes of inert pair effect, causes of variable valencies, causes of stability and instability, pauli's exclusion principle, Heisenberg's uncertainity principle, causes and effect of lanthanoid contraction etc.This is because when you will solve previous ten years question bank , you will find questions covering these topics directly or indirectly.You won't find questions like: What element has atomic no. 26 ? Or What is the atomic no. of neptunium in the periodic table? I hope you understand my point.For more acquaintance, you should refer to the question bank and look at the type of questions that have been asked.
Have self confidence .Prepare well.Hope for the best and don't hesitate to ask if anything is incomprehensible.
