In physics, the idea of the magnetic monopole is a hypothetical situation. Just like how we have the positive and the negative charges in current, in the same way, there are dipoles - North pole and the south pole. These magnetic charges always exist in pairs - dipole and never as a monopole. The main reason is that our universe is not symmetric. The electricity is directly related to the magnetic field. Electricity has a positive and negative charge that either attract or repel each other. In the same way, magnetism also has the north and the south pole. But both electricity and magnetism are entirely different: In electricity, you can have the positive and the negative charges configured together or can also exist individually like a proton or an electron. In magnetism as well, you can have the north and the south pole configured together, but not in isolation. Hence, magnetic monopoles do not exist. The laws of electromagnetic induction tell us that if you have an electric current flowing inside a wire, then it creates a magnetic field, perpendicular to the direction of flow of current. If the current-carrying wire is bent, then there is a magnetic field inside the loop. Since the laws of Physics are symmetrical, it goes both ways. Hence, we can have electric charges, electric currents and electric fields, but only magnetic fields and no magnetic current or charges. Therefore, there is a fundamental asymmetry between the electric and the magnetic properties. Blas Cabrera, a famous physicist, performed a series of experiments to prove the existence of the magnetic monopole and failed. Hence, the main reason for the non-existence of the magnetic monopole is the asymmetric nature of the universe. read less

Magnetic mono-pole does not exists, because magnetic field lines always forms a closd loop. Magnetic field line always makes close loop. So there is no monopole existance in magnets. Explanation.......... ..... Consider a aarrow........ Moving forward........ Continuously. Now if we see the arrow from front then we realize that it comes near to us but when we see it from back (from the tail side) then we realize that it go away from us. Now if we cut the arrow in two pieces..... And start our observation again from front and back... We get the same result (from front it comes near to us and from back it go away from us). Again if we cut this arrow in several pieces..... Then the observation with each piece will remains same. From front we see that arrow comes near to us and from back we see that arroe go away from us. Same thing happen with magnet poles. From north pole magnetic feild lines come out and from south pole it enters. Actually poles is nothing but the direction of magnetic feild line. Now if we observe this line from front and back then we see from front it comes out (or comes near) and from back it enters (or go away). We cannot find amagnetic field line which comes near or comes out from both side(front and back). Hence poles are nothing but thedirection of magnetic field lines and we can not devide it..... So we can not find or can not creat monopoles. However many research are running on this topic in persent physics...... .....hope somday we are able to find a monopole. read less

A magnet is an electric dipole so magnetic field lines are closed. Thats why monopole cant exist.

Magnetic fields are closedfields and net magnetic flux is always zero. Magnetic monopoles are hypothetical theoretical situations imagined to comparethe propreties of elecric and magnetic fields
Comments

Just as in dark matter we don't have the instrumentation to measure this.

For every source there has to be a sink and the field forms a complete loop outside as well as inside the magnet

because the charge field is every where.
Comments

Because around the magnet every where magmatic field exist and so flux line beginning and and must exist
