The objective of CBSE examinations/ study material is to provide teaching material to the students to enable them to obtain knowledge in the subject. Once you are aware of the syllabus, the next step is to find and assimilate the knowledge inputs which have been provided by CBSE study material and other reference books. For better understanding of the paper, students must emphasis on the following points:
(1) Study Material : To lay a strong foundation of the understanding of any particular subject, study material explains the concepts of each and every topic in detail with adequate illustrations. study the underlying concepts analytically before proceeding towards illustrations. solve the illustrations after understanding the topic. for example in the chapter of share capital, one has to understand the reason why profits on resale of forfeited shares is transferred to capital reserve and not to profit and loss account, what will be the treatment of capital reserve etc.
(2) Sample Paper : After going through the study material , solve the questions given in various sample papers. sample papers are highly useful for the students appearing in the examinations as it includes questions from past examinations which would facilitate in thorough understanding of the subjects. your first stage of study should cover both study material and sample papers.
(3) Mock Test Papers : After completing first stage of study and copmplete revision of syllabus, you may assess your preparation by appearing for mock tests.
Important Points To Keep In Mind:
(a) preparation of notes
(b) recapitulation of previously read topics
(c) keep yourself continously updated
(d) keep in mind the inter - linking of various topics
