Displacement (x)
Can define as the shortest geometric distance between two points in space-time.
Consider two point A (x1, y1) and B (x2,y2)
A Distance between the two points can calculate by an application of a distance formula.
AB = { (x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2}^0.5
Displacement is a vector quantity which includes directions of the implementation. The magnitude of movement is written as x=|AB| and vectors x has direction denotes by a unit vector of x = AB ÷ |AB|. The Displacement of circular motion is zero whereas a distance is a scalar quantity it's never zero for motion, but conditions for rest is changed in distance is zero.
Velocity of body = displacement/ time interval
Since displacement is a vector quantity, it makes velocity is a vector quantity. Speed is the difference with velocity is direction senses only.
Displacement is important to vector quantity in an analysis of motions, sometimes it's treated as position vector its connection between geometry and nature.
