The design of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is similar to any aircraft design, but there are some unique tasks followed during the process.
This course presents an overview of the conceptual design, development, and operation of Unmanned/Uninhabited Air Vehicles (UAVs). Instruction begins with a historical perspective on UAVs and brief look at current operational and developmental vehicles, followed by an overview of aircraft requirements definition and conceptual design. The roles, missions, operations, and command & control of UAVs also are covered.
