(i) simple harmonic motion is a type of periodic motion where restoring force acts in the direction opposite to displacement and is directly proportinal to it. e g motion of a spring. In motion of a satellite neither the force is opposite to displacement nor it is directly proportional to it. It is just a type of periodic motion.
(ii) when a aeroplane engine runs, it generates sound in various frequencies. Every matter in the world has a natural frequency of vibration of its own. when the frequency of sound produced matches the natural frequency of vibration, it causes resonance and vibration with a larger amplitude. this causes rattling sound of windows.
(iii) time period of simple pendulum is directly proportional to square root of the length. so if length quadraples time period doubles.
