I am writing to you in response to the advertisement of teaching position in online mode. I have finished my PhD program under the supervision of Prof. N. Vasudevan at Anna University, India in 2019. My PhD dissertation work was on ‘Bioremediation of biphenyl and chlorinated biphenyls in transformer oil contaminated soil by a bacterial consortium and genomic evidence for its survival’. I am currently working in the same team as a Research Associate. I found the teaching topic ‘Microbiology’ fascinating and with significance to put scientific advances into practice for treating patients with chronic inflammatory diseases. I believe that I would be able to contribute to the field because my previous researches and experiences, particularly in evolutionary biology and microbiology and computational analysis of next generation sequencing data, are strongly related to the topic.
