She is a senior disciple of Guru Smt. Renuka Desai and Prof. Shri Vijay Singh of Bhaat khande Sangeet Maha vidyalay, Jabalpur. Rigorous training under such illustrious Gurus, made her confident in the Lucknow Gharaana Kathak Dance. Her commendable performances at Sneh Sammelan, Bhaatkhande Sangeet Samaroh, Vishnu Digambar Samaroh, Jabalpur, Bharat Kalachar, Chennai, Bhaat khande Sangeet Vishwavidyalay, Khairagarh and Shiv Ratri Mahotsav, Bhilai, Jugalbandhi with Thavil maestro Kalaimamani Haridwaramangalam Shri A.K. Palanivel for Pondicherry Doordarshan are just to name a few. Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad conferred on her the title of Sangit Prabhakar and she is graded by Doordarshan.She was fortunate enough to begin her training in Vazhuvoor Pani of Bharatanatyam with the blessings of the Stalwart Padmashri Vazhuvoor Shri Ramiah Pillai under his illustrious son Kalaimamani Vazhuvoor Shri R. Samraj. Her rigorous advanced training from the doyen Guru Natanakala Shironmani Smt. Kanchana Janardhanan, Rhythmic intricacies from Guru  Vidwan Shri R. Venkata Subramaniam and Nattuvangam from Guru Kalaimamani Udupi Shri Laxminarayan helped her blossom into a complete Artiste.Today as Artistic Director of Jathiswaraalaya Academy of Dance and Music - a 22 year old institution, she imparts dance education to deserving Kathak and Bharatanatyam aspirants. She aims to pass on the legacy two dance forms in a pure and undiluted way to the next generation.
