Description:

At Alaap we encourage budding singers from the age of six to sixty to learn and perform the khyal gayaki of Gwalior Gharana.

Classes are conducted in the traditional Guru Shishya Parampara focusing on the individual needs of each student.

Alaap is affiliated to Prayag Sangeet Samiti and is conducting examinations for those who wish to pursue their studies in Hindustani Classical Music. On completion of the course the student is provided with a B.A Degree in Music

Each Student is also a part of the yearly examinations conducted by Prayag Sangit Samiti which focuses on Theory and Practical.

The syllabus is clearly defined for each year for the student to learn and Perform.

Apart from Regular Classes, we also conduct quarterly Music events focussing on popularizing Hindustani classical and semi classical music also infusing Light music , Ghazals where the student gets a chance to perform on stage to showcase their talent!

Shri Kuldeep sagar is a prominent Hindustani classical vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana. Shri Kuldeep Sagar has both Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees in Hindustani Classical Music from the Indira Sangeet Mahavidhyalaya in Khairagarh, M.P. He also earned the titles/diplomas SANGEET PRAVEEN and SANGEET PRABHAKAR from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

His tonal grace and rhythmic elegance is equally visible in Khyals, Thumries, Taranas, Tappas, Dadra, Ghazals, Geets, Bhajans, kajari, Hori, Mand, Chaiti, Sufi and other forms of light music.

Shri Kuldeep Sagar has tremendous emotional appeal and aesthetic sense and has an inherent aptitude for emotionally stirring music
