2014 - awarded doctorate in “in vitro anticancer activity of caesalpinia coriaria” by the university of madras.
2007 – awarded master of philosophy (m. Phil) from bharathidasan university, trichy 1998 – awarded master of science (biochemistry) from university of madras
1996 – awarded bachelor of science (biochemistry) from university of madras
I started my teaching career in the year 1998 after the immediate completion of post-graduation. To make my teaching professional eligible, I qualified national eligibility test (net) in the year 1999 & subsequently qualified state level eligibility test (slet) in the year 2000.
I have selected “herbal drug technology” as my area of research, which focuses mainly on molecular biology and cell culture techniques. To complement this, I have published 40 papers both national and international in peer-reviewed journals. Under my guidance, 4 students graduate ph.D.
In my research, I have identified a new sequence from caesalpinia coriaria and submitted my findings to the national centre for biotechnology information (ncbl).
I have also successfully undertaken a “minor project” sanctioned by tamil nadu state council for science and technology during 2013 – 14 and completed it.
I have presented 40 + research papers at both national and international conferences, which was well appreciated. To mention few
