I have been teaching CBSE students up to Class 12 and find that Calculus as it is dealt with is difficult to grasp for students. I am therefore offering a 10 hour course that attempts to make the learning experience simple to the students. It can be understood by students who have done Class 10 in CBSE syllabus and can even be attempted by those Class 9 students who want to strive and stretch.
The course starts with making the concept of limits understandable through actual examples drawn from both Mathematics and Physics and ends with Integration covering Definite and Indefinite integrals. The course is structured as follows:
- Calculus – Definition and Applications
- Limits – Concept, Application & Results
- Continuity – Numerical and Graphical Interpretation
- Differentiation – Derivative of a function
- Differentiation – Slope in a graph
- Second order derivatives, Rate measures and Tangents
- Integration - Area of region under a graph
- Definite & Indefinite Integrals - Connection through Theorem
- Differentiation and Integration - A few real life examples
