Let P be the age of first person and Q be the age of second person.
It is given that their ratio is 5:7, so we can write
P/Q=5/7
After six years P's age will be P + 6, it is given that the difference between Q's present age and P's age after 6 years is 2. So we can write
Q - (P+6) = 2
Putting value of P from previous equation
Q - (5Q/7 + 2) = 2
7Q - 5Q - 14 = 14
2Q = 28
Q = 14
Therefore P will 5Q/7 = 5*14/7 = 10.
