I started my professional studies with the subject Msc.Medical Biochemistry from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar and was awarded said degree in the year 1999. In the year 2000, I was appointed as Jr.Demonstrator in the deptt. Of Biochemistry, PGIMER, Chd. and served the department till 2002. In the year 2002, I started my Ph.D research “Development of Electrochemical Biosensor Based Diagnostic kit for monitoring Insulin’ Punjabi University, Patiala and was awarded Ph.D degree in 2008 in Faculty of LIFE SCIENCES by Punjabi University, Patiala. During my research, Patent on “Biosensor for Estimation of Insulin.’’has been filed with application no. 1792/DEL/2006 Dated 7th July, 2006 and it is under examination profile. I was appointed as Sr. Demonstrator in Dec. 2006 by the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital and then was promoted to Assistant Professor in Dec. 2008 and served the department on this designation till 28 Feb, 2014. Presently, I am serving department of Biochemistry in the capacity of Associate Professor since 1 march, 2014. My job responsibility includes teaching (MBBS, BDS, Physiotherapy, Msc. Nursing), handling routine biochemistry lab, Maintaining quality control programme and has experience in handling sophisticated instruments automated analyzer-Chemiluminesence, Mindray BS-480, Semi autoanalyzer-Erba chem.-7, ARX, Electroanalyzer, Dry-chemistry analyzer, Nycocard Reader.
