Intrinsic Semiconductor :
It is a pure Semiconductor which acts as an insulator at low temperature and acts as a Conductor at high temperature.
Hence it is not used in developing electronic devices.
Doping: Adding impurities to pure Semiconductor is known as Doping.
Extrinsic Semiconductor
They are of two types
1.Ntype
2.Ptype
Ntype: these are formed when pentavalent impurities added to pure Semiconductor. In n-type majority are
Electrons and minority are holes.
Ptype: these are formed when
Trivalent impurities added to pure Semiconductor in ptype majority are holes, and minority are electrons
