India became independent on 15 Aug 1974. But, till today the women are struggling to achieve equality with the men. The inequality is deeply rooted in the past. Women in 19th century through various revolution eg. French and In India too wanted to achieve the same status in soceity as the men. If we look into the 20th century, we found that it is considered as uncommon and notorious to work outside equal footing with men. So as of today too, lesser women are found in regular salaried employment as compared to men because a larger portion of women are engaged in economic activities without stable contracts and steady income.

Yes, China's Rapid Growth can be traced back to its reform and agriculture and estavlishmetn of infrastrcture in the areas of education and healt, land reforms etc had been taking place with the Introduction of Proletarian cultural revolutionary Mao during the year (1966-67). China introduced reforms in phases after 1978.
In intial phase reforms were initiated in agricultural, foreign trade, investment and In the later phases in industrial sector. Private sector firms and township and village enterprises were allowed to produce goods. The reform process also involves dual pricing.
