Syed Afrid Jahan

I am a Physics M.Sc from the batch of 2021. I have worked on Chegg as an Advanced Physics Expert since September 2021. I have also started giving home tutions since January 2021. I completed my dual BS-MS degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata (IISER Kolkata), a premier research institute in India.

My key skills include a deep understanding of physics upto BSc level (as evidenced by my academic performance) and ability to convey complex concepts online (I have solved many physics problems online on Chegg and given presentations online as part of my coursework). I have been passionate about teaching physics since my early university years. I am particularly interested in teaching +2 level physics, as I remember the challenges of solving problems at entrance exams. I was able to crack JEE(Main) and got the opportunity to study Chemical Engineering at NIT.

My accomplishments include completing my MS thesis where I researched aspects of heavy ion collisions. I have also worked on a summer project in IFJ-PAN, Poland where I worked extensively in coding.
