Day to day support of the production Infrastructure and Applications
Proactive support for all applications including database maintenance, logging and monitoring
Documentation, installation and testing of patches
Responsible for compliance with Group and ISO standards for applications and Infrastructure
Proactively identify and propose infrastructure and applications improvements
Develop and maintain knowledge base for support of infrastructure and applications
Develop and maintain documentation for security and support of the Infrastructure and applications
Liaise with Group IS and third party vendors to ensure appropriate service levels
Logging of Incidents in the ICT Helpdesk System
Develop, manage and implement project plans
Implementation of backup routines and procedures set out by group policy
Failover and Disaster Recovery planning and testing
Linux RHEL (5+6)
Scripting, XML, OpenEdge Progress
Microsoft Server Operating Systems and tools e.g. Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/WINS Management, Group policy management
Microsoft SQL server and database management 2005/2008,
VMware vSphere Platfor)
BSc in Computer Technology or related experience
3 years+ experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar
Strong Linux skills (Either RHCSA, RHCSE, LPIC-1 or Comptia Linux+)
Experience troubleshooting issues with Public Key Infrastructure
Experience in a production/factory environment (Distinct Advantage)
Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking qualification
