Angular has better Job Opportunities in India; React is more valued in the US. Learn Javascript to a reasonable extent before learning either React or Angular. If you have command over Javascript, you can learn most of these Frontend JS Frameworks with some effort. Vue.js and Svelte.js are also gaining popularity. However, job opportunities in India are limited. With Javascript sorted, you can switch from one framework to another with ease.

Javascript is as desirable as Java or Python, if not more. It is one of the most popular technologies out there.
JS is 25 years old, and it is still popular and evolving. You can use JS on the browsers, on the servers, and even you can build blockchains on it. JS can be used for Object-Oriented Programming as well as Functional Programming [Check it out]. No Language comes close to the usability and scope which JS provides today.

Angular has a high learning curve compared to React. Angular has a better job market in India currently. However, React has higher user satisfaction compared to Angular and others. In the US, React has a much better face value.
