I am an accomplished Art & Design Professional with a diverse background and 18 plus years of overall professional experience. For the last 8 years, have been in various academic roles from teaching visual arts/design & innovation (Primary, Middle and Senior school) with special emphasis on real world learning and skill-based learning; to being a Head of Department (Visual Arts); to a Co-curricular Coordinator.
For the 10 years prior, involved in various facets of creative world (visual arts teaching -Design & Innovation, designing, graphics, events, weddings, show décor, and interior designing).
Adept at working in a wide range of media to various graphic design tools and softwares (AdobeInDesign,Illustrator, Photoshop) in addition to Freehand Sketching.
My teaching methodology is collaborative, problem based, blended and experiential learning, as vehicles for teaching design education.To engage my students in thinking I want my students to be at the center of their learning. Implementing student- centered discussions is fairly easy to do—just create thought-provoking questions that dive deep into the content. It is absolutely essential that the teaching methods you use help students make connections to their learning. Real-life connections make learning interesting and relevant for students.
