I have been playing guitar since 8 years.
About teaching, it takes only five months to learn the basic guitar and techniques, which will be enough to play on stage and move the audience.I have my own modules and way of teaching . Give more importance to the roots rather than the tunes that drive listeners. Again its not about me teaching its all about how much time or effort the beginner is trying to get into it.

How to learn guitar lead ?

1.know the name of the notes. 2.Play only C major scale in different styles and at different positions for one week. 3.play the same pattern in all keys. 4. learn arpeggios. 5.learn some solos ( if u get bored from the lessons) 6.play modes. 7.everything is out there.. take a print out of a lesson... ...more

5 months.. if u give 3 hrs a day..with right teacher or right lessons. actually u can play the chords in just one month .. if u dnt want to be a pro. :-D

Is it possible to learn guitar from the internet and how much time it will take?

youtube. depends on u.. how much time u give and how much actually u are interested in lessons rather than songs :) dont mind but i have seen people getting bored of lessons. even me ...i used to yawn.. when the same scales or modes i had to run up n down the fretboard. but it helped alot.. be very specific... ...more
