IdentityI have been working as a researcher at a leading urban research institute in Bangalore, on a global project with University College London’s Development Planning Unit, for about three years. It has allowed me to engage with practitioners, pedagogues and learners, at national and international levels, working on diverse projects, both in research and practice, ingraining in me an unswerving fervour to study and work in the area of urban practice.
I am involved with programmes that encourage shared authority and collaboration between activists and educational institutes, designing and conducting housing rights and sustainable livelihood workshops that aim to provide the urban poor with accurate, attested, and apposite information regarding housing and livelihood interventions.
I am also involved with the Main Bhi Dilli campaign, which aims to make planning in Delhi representative and inclusive by engaging citizens in the 2041 Delhi Master Plan process, which gave me the opportunity to understand participatory planning practices.
I have been a gold medalist all throughout my university years and have taught kids to young adults and college students a in social science subjects.
I am an editor at The ArmChair Journal, an online portal for young writers to share their views to help shape public discourse. I also write for multiple outlets like LiveWire and FilmCompanion and run my own blog and can provide feedback on English writing.
