I was first trained on the Scottish BagPipes, and other wind instruments, by Ustad Goodu Sahib while a cadet in the Sainik School, Amaravathi Nagar, school Pipe/Bugle Band. and over the years gravitated to the Thipple Flute (the straight variety, NOT the transverse Pullangushal or Bansuri). i find it useful for students to learn the BaroqueRecorder (Yamaha makes a very affordable and sturdy translucent one)/Thipple flute, along with the Blues Harmonica (also called the 10-hole Diatonic Harp: Hohner being the most common brand, though they are not the best). both in C key. i play the keyboard and a four-string customized version 02 of electric guitar with my own tuning. and look at music as the source of the most collaborative human effort.
