Start with some general cardio to feel warm. Continue with stretching, paying particular attention to muscle groups that are more commonly used in your dance style. Perform a few simple dance steps to get the body in a flow and you should be good to go.

Learn under a teacher who is well experienced and able to guide you through the nuances to the best of his or her abilities. Don't be afraid to ask questions to deepen your understanding and watch a lot of dance performances to engage with different techniques and styles other than the one you are learning. Best wishes.
