Kamala Murthy

I introduce myself as a musician in carnatic classical vocal music, having passed my vidwat proficiency examination, conducted by karnataka secondary education board in 2005 with distinction. My guruâ??S are:-
A. Vidushi || ganakalabhushana smt. R.A. Ramamani of malleshwaram, bangalore.
B. Vidushi|| smt. Hemalatha sampath iyengar of hubli.

I have been awarded 'university blue' in the inter-collegiate youth festival classical music competition, held at karnataka university dharwad. The late padmavibhooshan dr smt presented the award. Gangubai hangal.
I have performed in many sabhas in bangalore such as rajmahal vilas sangeetha sabha sanjaynagar, mahaganapathi sangeetha sabha k.R. Puram, indian institute of world culture basavanagudi, bangalore lalitha kala parishat etc.
I with other disciples of my guru have worked on the vast project dasaru kanda krishna comprising of the compositions of different haridasas like shripada rajaru, vyasarayaru, mahipathi dasaru, prasanna venkata dasaru etc. I have performed my role as a judge in the r.R. Keshava murthy memorial national music competition for carnatic classical vocal music and also in various classical music competitions.
I have also performed my role as a faculty in carnatic classical vocal music in institutes in bangalore such as rhythms chandra layout vijayanagar, veena maharaj shri parvathikar institute of music indiranagar.
