"My son has been going to Francis for guitar classes for close to 4 years. He started as a beginner and has completed his 4th grade exams. From the start there was a comfortable and good relationship between student and teacher. My son enjoyed and picked it up very easily. Francis does not always go by the book but allowed my son to explore different types of pieces. He takes a lot of interest and is quite a patient teacher. Very happy my son has had the opportunity to have his guidance. "

"It's been a superb journey with Francis sir. My child went to him as an intermediate learner and Francis Sir was able to help her right away with her problem areas. His keen and sincere approach to teaching works perfectly for us. We also continue to appreciate how he makes sure material is available before each class and has a plan for each and every meeting. Very valuable to have him as a guide and teacher. Absolutely recommended. "

"Francis is extremely sound technically in music, especially the guitar. His teaching is not over the top and high level chords and string playing. He gets into the depth of every aspect of guitar playing which if followed correctly will enable you to come up with your arrangement. He provides with with good materials and practice which has helped me improve a lot. "

There is nothing like beginners' guitar :). There are cheap guitars and expensive guitars. I recommend getting the most expensive one you can afford. The action, feel, and tone will motivate you to practice more.
If one can spend 20000, 35000, 50000 and all on a mobile phone or for a vacation, why not spend 15000 or 30000 on something you love.
Epiphone, Cort, YAMAHA, Takamine... all are good brands.
Also, it is not necessary to start learning on an acoustic guitar. It's just a myth that one should start learning on acoustic guitar. That's just our Indian way - Learn on acoustic and then buy an electric.
There are so many advantages if one can start on an electric. I started learning guitar on a decent imported Japanese made an electric guitar, thirty years ago.
I bought my first acoustic guitar only after playing professionally electric guitar for six years.
So, all the best. Buy one and start learning. All brands are good. No one can make a bad guitar and be in business for so long. It's all a personal preference end of the day.
