Finishing School Summer Camp The summer camp will involve various fun games and activities that will aim at teaching children important life skills to help them develop their personality. We aim to teach children good dining manners, and how to be polite girls and boys through exciting activities and role playing. The course seeks to improve body posture, increase interest levels in grooming themselves and most importantly understanding family values!!... The course will orient children on how to be independent, and how to be safe.

Topics Covered

Modules Covered and Activities: Teaching social graces: Through role play and interaction with their peers Table manners and dining etiquette: Teaching children how to eat with a fork and knife. Also teaches them how to eat with chopsticks. Basic table manners and do’s and don’ts at the dinner table. Confidence building, Self Esteem, and public speaking: through activities that involve team work, facing their fears of public speaking, and interaction with their peers. Self control and patience: teaching based on activities that teaches children the value of self control and benefits of patience Improving body language and posture: Improving postures and reducing slouching. Also aims to teach children proper non verbal communications such as proper ways to shake hands, proper gestures and proper way to sit. Improving English speaking skills: Emphasis on proper grammar in sentences. Will aim to polish English speaking skills and improve vocabulary for the child Session on oral storytelling - Introduction to the world of myths and legends, tall tales, folklore and ghost stories from around the world Understanding family values and understating respect for parents and elders: Emphasizing family time. Will conduct activities and games that aim to teach children the importance of family; the need to respect them. Handling difficult situations: Teaching children safety precautions What to do in emergency situations such as a fire, earthquake. How to avoid strangers and call for help How to protect themselves against strangers Learning how to say NO Improving concentration on a given task for a longer period of time: Focusing on constructive and productive activities and teaching children how to enjoy them. Money management – handling pocket money, and teaching children the value of money through activities that teach money management through role play. Time management: Games focusing on managing time effectively. Proper etiquette for a lady and gentleman to be: Includes proper gender etiquette. Train children in the proper ways of talking to the opposite sex. Teach the child the value of chivalry and proper ways of dressing. Anger Management: Aims to reduce tantrums among children by means of fun activities. Making friends and keeping friendships: Helps the child in building confidence in making acquaintances and turning them into friendships. Independence and learning to take responsibility: Teaches children to do small tasks such as make their own snacks, cleaning up after play, and taking care of their daily routine activities One session on BALLROOM DANCING Session on arts and craft
