I understand that Hindi learners come from different linguistic backgrounds and find it especially difficult to comprehend its sound system and sense the nuances of matras while reading and writing. Quite often, their inability to comprehend it affects their learning. In such cases, I tackle it through informal counselling and individual-focused training.
All skills of language – listening, reading, speaking and writing are my concerns. I strive to integrate textual learning with focus on these skills. I adopt different means to achieve this end. It includes listening to audio recording of short stories, reading newspapers, conversation practice, learner portfolio, DEAR method and script-writing etc.
