Hello Chirag,
What an interesting and thought-provoking question! I am sure I am no eligible master to answer this question, but I would like to share a piece of my mind with you.
Chirag, this question brings a lot of perspectives to the table, but the only aspect that matters here is yours and yours alone. I know most have straight no’s to your answer. If you believed the same, you would not have posted this question. Credits to your intelligence, you have taken your first step already. Mastery is a deep subject and is quite an ART.
Are you aware that ancient Indians were masters in multiple subjects across various areas of interests? Is it even possible, you think? How, if you ask, I wish I knew! If I did know that secret ingredient, I might have shared with you now. Unfortunately, there is no secret ingredient. We have always tracked our time with 24 hours, then and now, our neighbours and us, all of us have the same hours in 1 day. How is it that one can utilize it more efficiently? Devise strategies.
In this regard, I assume your subjects mean academics.
GOALS. WRITE your Goals. Not think. Write. Every Day. Repeatedly. Consistently.
Now, you are clear about what you want. But most important questions to ask are “Why’s?” than “What’s?”. That gives them power and fuel to everything that you are about to and will be doing. STRONGLY BACKED whys.
Before you begin to learn anything, learn “How to learn anything fast?”. If you dig deep, you may find various researchers, preachers with unique ideas and steps of solutions. Some may agree with actions involving to Learn, Reflect, Implement and Share, whereas some may talk about transformative learning. Choose your way accordingly, modify and implement until you find better or create your own better ways.
Remember that a balanced lifestyle is vital. For instance, when you wake up in the morning, you may want to focus your mind on working up your creative juices on to the most challenging priorities according to you. This drives your efficiency because you will subject to decrease as the day goes on. The next thing is, you can give a shot at gratitude journaling, meditation, following up with your daily routine of exercise, freshening up, breakfast, family time and then back to productive work. By the end of the night, maintain a journal of your work done through the day and tasks for your next day. While you sleep, you can VISUALIZE how you want your next day to be run like and try to solve some challenges that you came across during the day. They say humans are wired to solve problems in sleep because it is only that our conscious brain that is asleep. During the day, when you are working, focus only on one at a time, devote yourself to it entirely, and continually visualize your every minute of work while doing it. Make timetables, stick to it, perform better than the previous day, take some tests, teach and correct your mistakes. Seek help when needed, it is no shame, but also do take care of the person to the left of you and the person to the right of you unconditionally, in case you cannot solely contribute to social service. That is how leaders are made. No need to beat yourself up; it is no race — only personal and professional growth. Forgive yourself when you make mistakes, it is human to err and try not to make the same again, be more mindful. It is easy to love a subject initially, but also easy to give up when it gets complicated to understand. Be persistent. Do what 99% of people do not. Believe in yourself and the wind beneath your wings. Love yourself and everything that you are about to and will be doing. PRACTICE. PRACTICE. PRACTICE. Utmost Discipline, Self Conditioning, Faith, Confidence and Smart Work will take you a long way. Nothing good ever comes easy, and not overnight, and not without a gazillion failures. Knowledge and Ego do not go hand in hand. Do not let your candle burn out one day. Share your experience and teach others. In case you are interested, you may even want to read books on mastery. Study as though you discovered and are preaching it. Study as though you are watching it all happen in front of you. Love every creation even though you may not agree with some. Use study music, alpha waves and such. Eat & drink healthy and try the intake of brain foods. Write academic answers and blogs in free time. Or take up some quick timed tests. Talk to your teachers often, and even volunteer to teach a class or two. Work on your logic, learn effective ways of reading, make flashcards, highlights, games, songs, chapter maps, organize your notes and compartmentalize in your head. Revisit concepts often to push them to long-term memory. It would be wise to focus not just around academics, but overall personality development. Make connections, friends and bond with teachers and family. Please be decisive, firm and consistent. It only takes less than 60 seconds to stop from immediate procrastination thoughts. If they occur, instantly, within 60 seconds, take action, such as get off the bed instead of staying in for just five more minutes — no need to overstimulate yourself. Just give your best shot as though you are pushed underwater every minute, and it is crucial to breathing to live. Few say it helps you succeed. I recommend you to trust yourself and be passionate about your subjects to master. Take necessary breaks and rest yourself well. Always motivate yourself and do not forget to reward yourself daily. I cannot wait to see how your story would turn out to be. I would love to hear from you in the future. I wish you all the very best!
