He began his career in the late 1980's in the Hospitality Industry and worked in Food & Beverage Operations and General Management at various hotels in India and the Middle East, his last posting being as Resident Manager of a 4 star Ramada property at Bangalore in 1995-96. He then diversified as visiting Faculty/Consultant at prestigious Hotel Mgt Institutes in Bangalore for a few years. Later, he joined the IT sector in the Facilities & Admin function at Tech Mahindra at Hyderabad in 1999, and grew with them (last posting as DGM) during the 12 enriching years spent there. He moved back to Bangalore and specialized into Facilities Management with a leading real estate organization, Jones Lang LaSalle, managing the top IT companies in India as Account Director (India) from 2010 onwards until recently. The companies included Wipro, Infosys, Cap Gemini and GE. His last assignment entailed managing all India operations as National Account Director at Google during 2014-15.
Besides being a Hotel Mgt graduate, in a career spanning 28 years, Rohan is also a qualified Black belt in Six Sigma and carries short term certifications from XLRI Jamshedpur & a Global leadership Certification from U21 in association with Harvard. He is also an active National swimmer and conducts coaching camps of adult learner groups. Rohan is fluent in Nepalese and conducts customized learning sessions upon request.
His passion for training and teaching has all along ensured that he take up assignments within the confines of his work space as Senior Training Lead and L&D coordinator( as an additional role) and in a collaborative way with other top IT companies, imparting Business Communication/Soft skill/Sales training and conducting Workshops and Team building sessions. Some of the companies where he actively trained then include Tech Mahindra, GE Healthcare, Intel, Deutsche Bank and Google.
He currently has his own Training set-up viz. Learning Curve Consultants and also trains in collaboration with leading training companies as a Senior Consultant, taking up assignments at the Entry to Exec-level at leading Corporate viz. Wells Fargo, Columbia Asia hospitals, Accenture, Siesta Hospitality, AXA Technologies and Pega Systems.
