IdentityI am qualified to teach and am familiar with the 11th-grade and 12th-grade curriculum of CBSE, ICSE and Karnataka State boards. I teach concepts of Physics, Maths and Electronics and problem-solving in these subjects. Mathematical reasoning becomes the primary mode of reasoning in 11th and 12th grade for the first time, and is often easy to get lost in a maze of mathematical details and not learn much physics in the process. Balance is key.
Teaching history: My primary teaching expertise is in teaching short courses and delivering stand-alone lectures to undergraduate and graduate-level students on special topics in areas of my expertise in nanoelectronics. But, I have been enjoying teaching students of the eleventh (11th) and twelfth (12th) grades for the first time. I have taught and trained 30+ students in the past four years and have several recordings of these classes that I can share.
Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy recognises that, in the eleventh and twelfth grades, with the jump in the quantum and nature of the syllabus, the one-size-fits-all classroom teaching approach becomes ineffectual for most students. For the first time, students would be better served by taking charge of their learning, but this can be challenging in the absence of proper guidance. I would assist and equip students with tools to learn beyond the classroom but with just as much academic rigour. In the same spirit, I tailor my lesson plans to each student's unique strengths, challenges, and needs.
