Holding an MA in English Literature, I have previously worked as an Assistant Professor at a college, where I developed strong teaching and communication skills. Though my professional background lies in literature, my passion for Carnatic music has led me to pursue teaching this ancient art form.
While I have just started teaching vocal music, my experience in higher education has given me a solid foundation in structuring lessons, engaging students, and ensuring that they grasp complex concepts. My love for Carnatic music and its rich tradition drives me to share this knowledge with others, and I am committed to providing my students with a thorough understanding of this art form.
I offer online classes that are 1 hour long, focusing on practical sessions to help students connect deeply with the music. Each lesson is tailored to the student's progress and ability, ensuring that they receive personalized attention. My teaching method is centered around live sessions where students can interact, ask questions, and sing along with the guidance I provide.
I also provide lyrics notes for students to practice at home, which ensures they have all the resources necessary to continue their learning outside of the classroom. As I continue to teach, I aim to create a learning environment that encourages students to appreciate the nuances of Carnatic music and to develop their skills in a structured and enjoyable way.
