Hi RajK and all other parents whoes lil ones are Jul/Aug/Sept born. i faced the same situation last year. my son is August born (DOB 15/8/2009) and now he is in LKG(reffered as Nursery in Baldwin) :) . You please go ahead and fill up the form but be "Patient". for sure your lil ones name will not comes up in 1st or 2nd list. but there is a fare... more»

i faced the same situation last year. my son is August born (DOB 15/8/2009) and now he is in LKG(reffered as Nursery in Baldwin) :) .

You please go ahead and fill up the form but be "Patient". for sure your lil ones name will not comes up in 1st or 2nd list. but there is a fare chance of coming up in the next list or if there is NO 3rd list then you may get a call from school. that i got last year.

Lats year i got a call from school for the parent interview, i would like to reffer it as "Meeting" rather than "Interview". Principal just wanted to meet us because my son was not meeting the age criteria and he wanted to make sure my son will be capable to be in the Nursery. NO AS SUCH INTERVIEW FOR KIDS. Principal asked one or two question to my son like "what is his name" and "what he had in the breakfast". after that we had a very nice conversatioon with him for more than 1/2 an hour.

he is very much against of any Middleman and make it very clear , do not pay anything to anybody in cash. every penny should be paid to the Vijaya bank branch that is inside the school.

They will srtat giving form in jan 1st/2nd week, please keep in touch with school. The selection criteria is quite fare, 1st is the age criteria and then the parents qualification, distance from house etc etc.

1st year fees for Baldwin is around 80k. From next year onwards it will be 40k per year. Plus the transportation and miscellaneous expenses(keep it 500 every month). Private transportation will cost you 2200 per mnth. Admission is process is fairly simple. You submit the forms along with supporting documents. Look out for the Selection list in the notice... more»

This is information for any parents who want information about admissions and fees structure in Baldwin Boys High School. Well to start it is an excellent school. I have two sons studying there both joined in LKG or (nursery ) they did not have pre nursery then but they have now so even if the child is less then 4years old you can admit them.
The Principal is the best he is really great I don't know once if he leaves the quality of the school will remain same it is hard to find his replacement. He takes personal care on all matters but except sports.
The teachers who really matter are really great there are about 7 sections for each class in take is about 45 students per class. But one thing to keep in mind is that there is a small but important difference among the teaching abilities of teachers in all sections you have to be a bit lucky there to get the best section. Section A and B is kannada and section C,D,E,F,G is hindi but the section teachers don't remain same they have rotation policy. There are separate in charge for all the three blocks that is nursery, primary and high school all of them are great.
The other staff and sports sirs are also really great. There is good bus facility provided by the school there are about 18 buses on different routes of the city.
The admission procedure for nursery is very simple you have to collect the forms that are usually given in the month of January but start making visits to the school in December there is absolutely no preference given to anyone all are treated equally they just have an interview with the parents that's all it is first come first serve bases.
The fees structure is very economical compared to other schools the fees for the year 2013-14 for 3rd and 4th standard was 35k per year the books cost another 5k and uniforms about 3k so about 43k for the whole year and if you are a new admission they were charging 35k for new admissions the fees varies every year but not by much. «less
