Prashna Muhurtham

I am going to share an important Muhurtham tip with you.This is used in Jamakkol praÅ?na Shastra.This technique is mentioned in Jinedramala and Gnanapratipika 

This Method determines good times based on four factors.

1. Udhaya Lagna
2. Arooda Lagna
3. Chatra  (in sanskrit)
4. Jamakkol or Planets, eight of them,  control eight directions  of the zodiac on a rotation basis.

Udhaya Lagna is formed based on Longitude and Latitude of a particular place, The Sunrise and Sunset timings. Udhaya Lagna moves clockwise in a zodiac chart, changing its Raasi approximately every hour. The first Udhaya Lagna of the day is decided by Sun’s position in the zodiac chart at the time of Sunrise. For example during mid September to mid October, the Sun will be in Kanya Raasi. So, the Udhaya Lagna at dawn will be Kanya Udhaya.

Arooda is measured by minutes. It moves clockwise in the zodiac chart, changing its Raasi every five minutes. 0-5 minutes of any hour of the day will be Mesha Arooda, 6-10 minutes will be Rishabha Arooda and it goes like that.

Chatra is the  one reveals the secret in a PraÅ?na. It moves in anticlockwise in a zodiac chart changing its Raasi every five minutes. Its position at 0-5 minutes of every hour is decided by a simple formula.

Sun got 3  types of movements

Uttarayana, Dakshinayana and in between positions . These three are called Veedhi ( Road or Path)

Mesha  veedhi : Rishabha, Mithuna, Kataka, Simha months come under this Veedhi 

Rishabha Veedi : Kanya, Tula, Meena, Mesha months come under this Veedhi

Mithuna veedhi : Vrichika, Dhanur, Makara, Kumbha come under this Veedhi.

The formula is:
When Sun is in Mesha Veedhi, Count from Arooda to Mesha Raasi.

When Sun is in Rishabha Veedhi, count from Arooda to Rishabha Raasi.

When Sun is in Mithuna Veedhi, count from Arooda to Mithuna Raasi.

Now, Count that from Udhaya and the Raasi which we arrive is the position of the Chatra.
Example.

Now Sun is in Kanya Month. Sun is in Rishabha Veedhi. 

At 6-10 minutes of every hour Arooda will be in Rishabha Raasi. 

The Count from Arooda to Rishabha Raasi will be one.

Count that from Udhaya, Chatra will be in the same Raasi where Udhaya is.

This will occur till Sun is in Rishabha Veedhi.

As per PraÅ?na, Udhaya and Chatra ( I call it à¤?तरा ) being together is not good to start any good thing. 

A travel, An entry, Signing documents are not good at this moment.

The Tip

Avoid 6-10 minutes of any hour of the day to do auspicions things till November 2016
