IdentityI am a yoga therapist in the Krishnamacharya tradition. I started my yoga journey as a child while learning asanas from my mother but took up professional training a few years ago after experiencing first hand, the benefits of yoga therapy for treating severe back pain. Of the many things this experience taught me, I strive to bring across the notion that mindfulness in action is the key to profound, transformative insights in healing.
I have also received training from Kaivalyadham, Lonavala and guidance from the Iyengar Institute in Pune. I bring together my experience from these different traditions with the goal of conveying the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras in simple ways. I had successfully taught yoga to help students with back pain, epilepsy, stomach and menstrual ailments.
I am a Dhrupad vocalist and has learned under the tutelage of Pandit Uday Bhawalkar. I am a trained electrical engineer and has written software for a leading wireless communications company.
