Aniruddha Vyas

Aniruddha started learning music at the age of 10, although not directly but through listening to his sister’s Dhrupad lessons. With a keen eye towards the intricacies of the performing art, he developed a keen interest in the various ragas and folk related genre. Later, he started training with Shri. Shubhada Marathe, a veteran singer of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana, learning and imbibing the basic structure of Indian Classical Music. Under her, Aniruddha also realised, that music is not just about music but about a life process, it involved a deeper understanding of various mysticisms and narrative creations.
At 16, he went to Pune to pursue his advanced training from Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, disciple of Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar, and learnt the finer intricate details of Raga creation and Sur Sadhana. He practiced the traditional riyaaz of the Jaipur Gharana, through which he also learnt the grand performance stylisations and technique of the respective genre.
At 21, Aniruddha has taken advanced training from Pt. Satyasheel Deshpande, musicologist and performer both, continuing his curious application of knowledge to understand other gharanas, and performing styles, only to comprehend his own music better. He has performed internationally and also has also recieved the Ministry of Culture, music scholarship in the year 2010.
