Overview

Amrita Vidyalayam, Chennai was started in 1990 in the Chennai Ashram premises with a strength of 20 students. The school received its affiliation with the CBSE in 2001. In 1997, the school shifted to the new school building in the present premises, and it was inaugurated by H H Swami Ramakrishnanda Puri , Treasurer, Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The Secondary section began in 2001 and the Senior Secondary Section in 2005. The school has more than 2000 students. The school has classes from PreKG to class XII.

Admission Details:

Admission is restricted by certain policies of the Management and by conditions of age, ability and conduct..Issue of application forms will be on 1st and 3rd February 2014.
Filled in application forms to be submitted on 7th and 10th February 2014.
Entrance Examination will be on 15th February 2014. (Students seeking admission for class 1 to IX should clear an entrance test with a minimum score of 40% in Eng, Maths, Science and II Language.)
Names of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on 26th February 2014 in our school premises.
The Original Birth Certificate /TC /Copy of the latest Report Card should be brought for verification and a copy of the same must be submitted along with the registration form.
Admission is confirmed only on payment of the Admission Fee and the 1st Term Fee for the academic year 2014-15.
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance
