Teaching Assistant Experience (TA)
As a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate economics courses, I was responsible for providing support in a variety of ways, including:
Leading Discussion Sections: I facilitated weekly discussion groups for Introductory Microeconomics and Macroeconomics classes, guiding students through key concepts like supply and demand, market structures, fiscal policy, and inflation. This role involved explaining complex economic models and encouraging students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
Example: I helped students understand the effects of government intervention in markets by using case studies of government subsidies and price controls, helping students relate theoretical knowledge to current events.
Grading and Feedback: I graded assignments, exams, and essays, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding of economic principles. I worked closely with students to clarify misunderstandings, often holding one-on-one office hours to offer personalized support.

Lecturing and Instruction: I delivered lectures on a range of topics, from basic economic principles to more advanced subjects like game theory, market failure, and public policy analysis. I utilized a variety of teaching methods, including PowerPoint presentations, interactive simulations, and case studies, to engage students and encourage critical thinking.
Example: For topics like market structure and competition, I used real-world examples such as the rise of tech giants like Amazon and Google to show how economic theory applies to modern industries.
Student Evaluation and Feedback: I designed assignments, midterms, and final exams to assess students' understanding of core economic principles. I also incorporated peer reviews and group projects to encourage collaboration and application of knowledge.
Example: In the final project, students were asked to analyze the economic impact of a recent policy (e.g., minimum wage laws or tax reforms) and present their findings in a report and group presentation.
