Addeya Nandy

As an art teacher with over 5 years of experience, I bring a passion for creativity, a commitment to education, and a diverse artistic background to my role. My journey in art education began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tripura University, where I immersed myself in various artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking. Inspired by my own experiences as a student and artist, I pursued a Master of Arts in Art Education, focusing on curriculum development, pedagogy, and the intersection of art and culture in education.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching art to students across diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds. From elementary school children discovering their artistic talents for the first time to high school students preparing portfolios for college admissions, I have tailored my teaching approach to meet the unique needs and interests of each student. I believe in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity, take risks, and express themselves authentically through art.

In addition to teaching studio art techniques and skills, I integrate art history, cultural studies, and contemporary art practices into my lessons to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the artistic process and its significance in society. By exposing students to a wide range of artistic styles, movements, and traditions, I aim to foster critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and empathy among my students.

Outside of the classroom, I am dedicated to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in art education. I actively participate in workshops, conferences, and community arts events to expand my knowledge, refine my teaching strategies, and connect with fellow educators and artists. My passion for art education extends beyond the classroom as I seek to advocate for the importance of arts education in promoting creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning.

As an art teacher, I am committed to nurturing the next generation of artists, thinkers, and global citizens.
