@Ranjani- Congratulations for passing ACET. I've passed it in Dec'13 as well. I am a bit on my toes right now handling CA final as well. So i'm appearing for just one paper. Most probably it'll be CT3. What i want to tell you is make sure you pass whatever subject you appear for. Good Luck.

@Chandini: Its best idea if you join for actuarial degree and simultaneously appear for Actuarial exams. this is really a good idea of you, where u no need to spend extra time after ur degree to complete this course... All the Best..!!

Narendra 13/12/2013
Dear Sachin, Shrikant & Ranjani, As such there is no fixed passing mark, but above 60% scoring chances of shortlisting is high.
Narendra 13/12/2013
Dear Jatin, you are eligible to do Actuarial Science, there is no as such age limit, only thing required is your passion for learning math & finance. It requires about 5 to 7 years of study to complete the course. Career wise there is very good opportunity both in terms of job and consultancy.

Narendra I am currently in class 12 , and want to pursue Acturial Science as my career option. My plan is to join graduation in Maths or Statistics and give all the acturial exams simultaneously. Also I find some private Institutes have a 4 yr acturial course , is it better to join that along with sitting for thye acturial exams ? Please guide.
Narendra 27/10/2013
Abhishek, you can do the course, but 1st I suggest you to complete your ICWA, then join somewhere preferably in Finance Industry and simultaneously do Actuarial Course. Apart from hard work you also need to have a lot of patience and self motivation to complete this course.
